Why Winter Park's SNO-GO Ride Center is The #1 Place to Try Ski Biking for the First Time.

Separated by a large mountain range, Winter Park, Colorado feels remote and isolated from the Denver city limits. With 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 166 trails and 23 chairlifts, Winter Park offers terrain for all skill levels. Known for moguls, tree skiing and wide open bowls, this mountain has terrain for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers and riders.

Winter Park Resort is an hour and forty minutes from Denver International Airport. If you don’t want to rent a car or take a shuttle on I-70 west from the airport, there is another easy transportation option. The Winter Park Express is a train that runs on the weekends from Union Station in downtown Denver taking you right to the slopes of Winter Park in 2 hours. If you want to take the train from Denver, make sure to buy your tickets well in advance because it often sells out.

One way to experience this Colorado gem is by enjoying one of Winter Park’s Guided Experiences such as a SNO-GO Intro tour. The SNO-GO Intro Tour is a three hour long tour that can accommodate up to ten people. The cost is $79 per participant and the guides will show you the basics of how to ride a ski bike and take you on green runs throughout the mountain. The tour includes a ski bike rental, snowboard boots, a helmet and lift access for the duration of the guided experience. With lift ticket prices normally running almost $200 during the season, this experience is steal!

Enjoy a new way to experience the mountain and look into the SNO-GO Advanced Tour which can accommodate up to five people if you and your crew already feel comfortable on a ski bike. The cost of a SNO-GO Advanced Tour is $79 per participant and you can expect to go on more intermediate runs throughout Winter Park with your guide.

SNO-GO guided experiences start at the Adventure & Supply Co. located in Winter Park village and generally run from 8am-5pm daily. In order to ride a SNO-GO at Winter Park Resort, you must be at least 5 feet tall and weigh 100 lbs or more.

Winter Park’s guided experiences on a SNO-GO have phenomenal reviews averaging 4.8 stars. Participating in one of these unique tours is one of the best ways to explore the mountain. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced at riding a ski bike, the knowledgeable Winter Park guide team will ensure you have a safe and fun experience.

“The SNO-GO experience was a blast! Liz and James were great instructors! It was my first time, and it really didn’t take long to get the feel for the snow-bike! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to try something new!”

Ready to hit the slopes and try ski biking this winter in Colorado? Book a SNO-GO Tour at Winter Park and enjoy the excitement of cruising down the slopes in a completely new and exhilarating way. Stay at one of the cozy condos at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge for a ski-in ski-out experience and to warm up by the fire after a day of riding a SNO-GO ski bike.
